    • Presentation - Chris Morrison - Copyright and Licensing Specialist
      • Copyright Literacy and the Pandemic: negotiating a new normal for copyright and libraries
      • In this talk Chris Morrison, Copyright & Licensing Specialist at the Bodleian Libraries and co-founder of copyrightliteracy.org will discuss the ways in which the COVID-19 pandemic highlighted fundamental issues with copyright law and library services. He will talk about the copyright and online learning  webinars and special interest group he co-founded with Dr Jane Secker in 2020 as well as developments that arose such as the eBookSOS campaign and the potential for Controlled Digital Lending (CDL). He will reflect on development of a Copyright Literacy Strategy at the University of Kent where he worked until April 2022 and share initial thoughts on how this could be applied to other institutions. The talk will also reflect Chris’s preference for playful learning as seen in  Copyright the Card Game and The Publishing Trap which he created with Jane.
